Where to start! My partner and I always knew that we wanted an elopement wedding but weren't sure where to start. We were lucky enough to find Shannon at Married on the East Coast who provided elopement packages in our area! We went to Shannon with the idea of a winter elopement, outside, in February, with snow! Our inspiration idea was from a popular sitcom from the 90's/2000's. Small intimate gathering of 7 guests, outdoor location, snow, and pine trees. Shannon was immediately on board, and we began making things happen! It was an extremely chill process. We were aware that the time of the year that we had picked, meant that we would all have to be flexible and just go with the flow as the date approached. Due to unforeseen weather in the two weeks leading up to the wedding date, welcome to the East Coast, we had a massive amount of snow and the original location of the wedding was now inaccessible. The irony.... So with three days until the Big Day, we had a change in our outdoor location and small shift in our plans. Shannon and Hilary (world's most amazing Photographer) were so chill, and made the entire experience so special for us! Each part of the wedding, the ceremony, the pictures, all of it was created to be this special experience, just for us. Including the snow shoes! Shannon and her photographer were exactly what we were looking for when we decided to elope in Nova Scotia. We chose the "simple and sweet" elopement package. It was perfect for us. We included a bouquet of locally grown flowers and it was the most beautiful arrangement I have ever seen! I am originally from NS but have since moved away and Shannon made the entire process from start to finish the easiest most organized it could be. If you feel you will leave something out or are worried you wont remember something on your wedding day, Shannon will! She was soo informative and had thought of every aspect we needed leading up to, during and after the wedding. The ceremony was the most wonderful of all! Shannon worked hard to make our very small wedding very special. We are not local to Nova Scotia, Shannon suggested several picturesque locations in the area for us to choose from. She handled coordinating witnesses, times and locations. As an extra special customer service moment, Shannon suggested moving out elopement up one day- since it was only the two of us- because of original day was 99% chance of rain. The sunset wedding was spectacular. She also wrote out a great ceremony, that was personal and touching. Shannon coordinated with Hillary to photograph our ceremony. The two women work so well together. Hillary's pictures were beautiful and captured the moments perfectly. I can't say enough good things about Married on the East Coast. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect thanks to Shannon! Having Shannon officiate our wedding ceremony was one of the best choices we could have made! The ceremony was absolutely the highlight of the day for me.
